Ardnagappary 110 kV 2018-2019

Project Description:
The new ESB Networks Ardnagappary 110/38kV Substation is located outside Bunbeg, Co. Donegal.
Omexom scope was the Electrical installation of:

  • a new 110/38 kV tail fed substation consisting of a single 110 kV AIS line/transformer bay
  • a 31.5 MVA 110/38 kV transformer
  • an Arc Suppression Coil
  • a 38 kV GIS busbar
  • a 38 kV GIS incomer transformer bay
  • a 38 kV GIS incomer line bay (Gate 3)
  • 2 No. 38 kV GIS feeder bays
  • a 38 kV GIS outgoer transformer bay and associated control building.

    During Phase 1 (Civils works) Omexom was also responsible for the Electrical fit-out of the substation building ahead of electrical installation.

  • Booltiagh 110kV Substation -Seahound Wind Developments 2017-2019

  • Castlecraig Wind Farm - 2018

    Project Description:
    Castlecraig wind farm is a 25MW wind farm based in Tyrone, Northern Ireland, which comprises of 10 Nordex Turbines.
    The Omexom Ireland & Renewables Business Unit undertook full project scope for the electrical balance of plant; including design, installation, commissioning, andsupervision of works.
    Omexom provided a range of experienced support personnel including project management, plantelectricians, commissioners, and senior authorised personnel.

  • Bann Road PV Farm 33kV Substation 2016-2017

    Project Description:
    Introduction Bann Road PV Farm is a 45.75 MWp Solar Farm located in Co. Antrim, Northern Ireland. Omexom UK Renewables were responsible Installation of:

  • Tullabrack 110kV Substation 2016-17

    Project Description:
    Facilitating works included the 110kV Cable Installation from the existing Ennis / Booltiagh-Moneypoint Line Cubicle, new 38kV Trafo Cubicle, new 38kV Feeder Cubicle, 10MVA 38kV/MV Transformer.
    In addition, an extension to existing control and battery rooms was required.
